Coming Out As Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ+)

Updated: Aug 6, 2019

June was Pride Month and it is an important time for the LGBTQ+ community. It is a time where people can gain support and historically was connected to Stonewall Inn, where LGBTQ+ people were discriminated against. Pride is a process and not everyone automatically has pride in their identity. Similarly, coming out is a process for each person. Dr. Bewley encourages each person to avoid comparison when coming out and listen to your own boundaries, time-line, and reasons for doing so. Dr. Bewley will help you consider coming out safely and ensuring that you have the support you need. Dr. Bewley serves Denton County and the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. #comingout #dentontx #wddi #psychologist #lgbt #lgbtaffirmative
